Q. Does the Association have a Building/Architectural committee?
A. Yes. Before you apply to Bloomfield Township for a building permit, (including variance requests), you must first submit two copies of your plans to the Association’s Building Committee for review and compliance with the deed restrictions. If approved, the committee will mark one copy as approved, return it to you and keep the other copy for its’ records. The approved copy must be submitted to the Township with your permit application. If you are anticipating making a property or home improvement and are not sure if a permit is required, contact Bloomfield Township Building Department.
Q. What are the annual dues? What do the dues pay for?
A. Please see “Association Dues/Access Fees under the "ULLE Organization" tab.
Q. Are there any restrictions on lawn signs?
A. There are no restrictions to lawn signs on your own property. However, please respect your neighbors and the integrity of the neighborhood when placing signs in your yard.
Q. If I want to volunteer for a post in the Association, whom do I contact? How long am I expected to serve?
A. Board members generally stay on for 3 years but can resign if circumstances change. Please contact the association president if you’d like to volunteer for the Board or one of the committees.
Q. When is trash pickup? Does it include recyclable items?
A. You will need to register your address and set up an account with GFL Environmental. There is a quarterly charge for trash pickup. Please call GFL Environmental at 866.772.8900. Trash pickup is scheduled for Tuesday mornings at 7:00am. Yard waste must be in approved containers and pickup is on a seasonal schedule. Recyclable items should be separated in a blue bin provided by the trash service.
Q. If I am a renter, can I participate in ULLE business?
A. If the property owner pays the Association fees and the B and C lot Access fees, the renter may use Lot 16 and Lot 64. Resident renters are welcome to attend ULLE events but do not have voting rights.

A. Bloomfield Township has created a page containing quick information for new residents. All information can be found in other locations on the website but this is a quick and easy resource for those new to the community.
Q. What school district are we in? What are my options?
A. Upper long Lake Estates in situated in the Pontiac school district. Many of the children in the neighborhood attend private schools. There are public school options with open enrollment and school of choice.
Q. Does the subdivision have an email distribution list for important information?
A. ULLE Association maintains this email account for distribution of event and meeting notices and other association business. Email is the primary method of resident notification. Residents are encouraged to provide their email contacts and keep them current so that they can receive important messages in a timely manner. The ULLENeighborhood email is a secure account with 3 person access only. All communication is sent to residents as Blind Carbon Copy (BCC) only so your email address is kept private. Residents are encouraged to submit their suggestions, thoughts and concerns to this email address for consideration and response by the Board. [email protected]
